These terms apply when you buy merchandise from the FIDO Gift Shop on this website. Please read them before you order.
1. Who we are

2. This site is satire
Is My Dog a Democrat? is satire. “FIDO”, the “Federal Identification of Democratic Orientation”, is not a real agency and has no connection with the U.S. government, any government agency, any political party, campaign or candidate. Nothing on this site is political advertising or an endorsement, and nothing here says anything about how to vote or about how any election is run. The lean we give a dog is a joke generated by an AI from a photo: it predicts nothing, and it says nothing about you, your dog or anyone’s politics. Dogs cannot vote.
3. Our products
Every item is made to order and personalized with your photo and your dog’s case file. The pictures in the shop are illustrations. Colors, crop and finish of the printed item may differ slightly from what you see on screen. Our print partner may make small adjustments so the design fits the product.
4. Your photo
By ordering, you confirm that you took the photo or have permission to use it, and that printing it won’t infringe anyone’s rights. Don’t upload photos of people who haven’t agreed to it. We or our print partner may refuse or cancel an order if the content appears unlawful or offensive. If we do, we’ll refund you in full.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are in U.S. dollars. The shipping charge, and any sales tax we are required to collect, are shown before you pay. Payment is taken by our payment provider, Stripe, when you place your order. We never see or store your card details.
6. Your order
Our contract with you starts when your payment is taken and you receive a receipt by email. If we can’t make or deliver your order, we’ll tell you and refund everything you paid.
7. Making and shipping your order
Your item is printed and shipped by our print partner, Prodigi, and its network of print labs. Orders usually ship within 3–7 business days, then travel by tracked delivery. Delivery times are estimates. Your order page shows progress and tracking once your item has shipped.
We currently ship to: United States. Your item is your responsibility once it has been delivered to the address you gave us.
8. Cancellations and returns
Every item in this shop is personalized and made to order, so we can’t accept cancellations or returns because you’ve changed your mind once your item has been made.
Orders go to production quickly. If you email our contact form straight away, we’ll cancel and refund your order if printing hasn’t started.
9. Damaged, defective or wrong items
If your item arrives damaged, defective, misprinted or isn’t what you ordered, we’ll replace it or refund you. See our Returns policy.
10. Disclaimers and our liability
Except as stated in these terms and our Returns policy, the products are provided “as is” to the fullest extent the law allows. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses. Some states don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law of your state that can’t be limited.
11. Questions, complaints and the law
If you have a problem, email our contact form with your order number, shown on your order page. We’ll try to sort it out quickly and informally. These terms are governed by the laws of [set SHOP_GOVERNING_STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and you may also have the protection of the consumer laws of the state where you live.

We may update these terms. The version that applies is the one shown when you placed your order.
